Any person who wishes to earn graduate-level credit, whether as degree-seeking student or as a non-degree student, must make formal application to, and be officially admitted by the University of Arkansas Graduate School. Any applicant may enter the Operations Management program regardless of undergraduate major, and an advanced mathematics background is not required. A student applying for admission to the program must submit an official transcript from each college or university previously attended. (Transcripts issued to students are not considered official.) Admission to the Graduate School cannot be accomplished until official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended and an Application for Admission are received by the Graduate School. Students should apply for admission at least six weeks prior to their first enrollment.
If GPA is less than 3.0 but is at least 2.5 on the last 60 credit hours of attempted coursework, applicant may be eligible for admission by special consideration, which includes submitting Graduate Record Examination scores of 1000 or above on the combined verbal and quantitative portions, and 3 or better on the analytical writing portion. Students with less than 60 graded semester hours of course work toward their baccalaureate degrees will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Applicants who have a conferred post-baccalaureate degree (excluding professional degrees) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education are admissible without evaluation of their GPA. Nevertheless, such applicants should submit transcripts from each school attended. For admission consideration, international students must submit a 550 paper-based score or 213 computer-based score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). At military locations, some restrictions may apply to the admission of civilian students. The application for admission and supporting documents should be received by the Graduate School at least six weeks prior to the term in which the student wishes to begin coursework. No fee is required for application to the operations management graduate program.
Students who delay or defer their studies for a full
semester (Terms I & II - Fall, Terms III & IV - Spring)
must be readmitted to the program. To be readmitted, a student
must submit a new application for admission and have a grade point
of 2.85 or greater on all graduate credits attempted. |
